The Family Violence Project provides temporary emergency housing for people fleeing domestic abuse or who are homeless because of an abusive domestic partner. The FVP also manages a small number of apartments that eligible clients can rent.

The United States Department of Agriculture offers homeownership and repair programs for individuals and families. For example, the Section 502 Direct Loan Program assists low- and very-low-income applicants obtain decent, safe and sanitary housing in eligible rural areas by providing payment assistance to increase an applicant's repayment ability.
